Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began training in the sports of combat. Aspen Ladd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing, and wrestling prior to her professional debut at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd built on this victory and began a 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in all the fights. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia outclassed Aspen and beat her in a an unanimous vote to remove an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11, she was able to dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta 16, she was able to move into the Bantamweight division after winning the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen's dazzling wrestling ability took down McGill as she was able to stop her fight in the third round via TKO (elbows as well as punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18, which was catchweight(138.1lb) as Ladd missed weight despite this Aspen defeated Hoy and finished her off in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She fought Linalansberg at UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina and ground-and-pounded her to pick up a second-round TKO victory. Her next fight, against Tonya EVINGER at UFC 229, her victory was even more stunning. Ladd took over Evinger's fight following the first round. She also received an extra bonus for her performance that evening. Her first fight of note came during her subsequent fight at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Both fighters put up a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and each fighter received the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd in just 16 seconds, putting an end to her winning streak. in the 3rd round on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. She fought Norma Dumont as a substitute for her fight last time with the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. It was a unanimous decision against her.
